Miles Jones is a rising star in the Toronto hip-hop scene, but for those who know him best this does not come as a surprise. Bass runs through Jones veins. His grandfather helped pioneer the reggae movement at Studio One in Jamaica where Bob Marley and many others recorded their first big hits, while his father Hedley Jones aka Deadly Hedley Jones Jr. was an influential DJ on CFNY-FM and the early Toronto club scene.
Miles continues this tradition by being active in all aspects of music as a DJ, producer, emcee, songwriter and the owner of his own label Mojo Records & Publishing. A true student of the craft, Jones debut album One Chance also served as his thesis at McMaster University. The disc was released to critical acclaim and even helped garner Jones the 2007 Ontario Independent Music Award for Hip Hop Artist of the Year. Miles has also been recognized for his song writing talents. He helped contribute 11 songs to Sony BMG s music catalogue as part of the Canadian Idol songwriters conference.
Through 2008, Miles Jones has continued to ride this wave of success opening for veteran hip-hop legends KRS-One and Souls of Mischief of Hieroglyphics fame. While Miles remains true to the lyrical and poetic integrity of hip-hop, he is also in touch with the current direction of music. He has opened for up and comers Thunderheist and opened for international phenomenon s T-Pain and Raekwon of Wu-Tang in Halifax in October 2008. 2008 also saw the beginning of Miles Jones international music career with a performance in Osaka, Japan.
The future is bright for this young emcee, Miles a man of great drive and passion has taken responsibility for his own destiny, funding and executive producing his new album Runaway Jones. Miles had the chance to work with some of his childhood icons as well of some of today s rising stars, including the first single Never Too Late that was produced by Detroit’s Black Milk.

South of the City of Angels lives a vibrant, small and extremely multi-cultural town called Carson, CA. This is the home of R&B princess Na’Shay who is signed to the renowned Ruthless Records.
Na’Shay, with her angelic tone, is Ruthless Records’ first of several brand new releases. Her album showcases a young, vibrant and stunning songbird chronicling her journey into first love. Now 21, Na’Shay’s younger peers can share in her coming of age story, and reflect on past experiences. Na’Shay sets good examples and is a positive role model as she shares her journey in finding quality, moral driven decisions when posed with compromising situations.
The CD, based on a series of events/experiences, begins with fun and hanging out, discovering a secret admirer, then a revealed crush to falling in love. Next comes the pressures to give up virginity followed by the heart ache of a cheating boyfriend and lastly the break up.
“My Mama Ain’t Home,” a duet co-written by Na’Shay, follows in the sonic tradition of classic R&B songs, invoking a soft yet strong emotional vibe. The listener is given a peak into a young girl’s mind as she struggles with whether or not to break the rules and call over her crush when “Mama Ain’t Home.”
