Air BnB – Air Bed and Breakfast

Air BnB – Air Bed and Breakfast was mentioned to me in passing while having some delicious eggs benedict at Cafe Zen in Vancouver. I ate alongside a good friend of mine, discussing New York and it’s wonders and how the next time I went I was planning on staying in a hostel again.
My friend, lets call her Miss Cruz, informed me about Air BnB, a site which acts as an agent for people with rooms to rent in their homes. It’s often comparable in price to a hostel (and depending on the area maybe some hotels), but offers the comforts of a home like environment and from the hostel perspective, more security.
I’ve yet to actually try out the service myself, but I intend to the next time I travel. Which, I’m hoping, should be within the next couple of months.

You should you should! I host in NYC as well as use Airbnb every time I travel (which is quite often) and it is FANTASTIC. Makes travelling so much more affordable than staying at a hotel but the comforts of being at home. You also feel like you get the “local” experience which is amazing. Happy travels!
